Ebook About
Nearly everything in Gregory’s life had changed by the end of his first year at the academy. Alone at the start of his novice year, he’d gotten engaged to Yukiko Warlin and found a friend in Jenn Bean by the time the annual tournament was over. The three of them went on to join Aether’s Guard, bringing the name of the nearly dead clan back to life. Elder Lightshield, the leader of Aether’s Guard, gave them his support and backing and Magus Dia guided them. Their training with Armsmaster Gin continued, offering a safe haven and helping to shield them from the worst tribulations that academy life could bring.Nothing is perfect, though. Gregory, Yukiko, and Jenn had also made enemies, and faced resentment and anger from the Eternal Flame clan more than once. Weathering the troubles that Nick Shun and his friends tried to bring down on them, the three magi rose to ever greater heights.Gregory’s second tournament included the unexpected, but welcome, arrival of Carmichael Pettit, as well as a mysterious bet between Jenn and Yukiko. At the end of the tournament, Jenn had bested Yukiko and Gregory, and the three of them held three of the top four places. With both of their families in attendance, Gregory and Yukiko wed after the tournament. The newlywed couple would face the academy and the world as one, and with their friends and their clan, they would strive to be at the pinnacle of their class once more.(This book contains some adult themes.)

Book Magi's Path (Aether's Revival Book 3) Review :

My reading tends to come in waves, I read and read and read until finally something drags me away and I take a break from it for a while (or at least slow down a lot).A downside to this is that sometimes I run out of things that really interest me. When this happens sometimes I may turn to books or series that I may not think are very good or not enjoy, just in desperation. That is how I ended up reading book 2 despite finding book one to be meh. The same applied here, with book 3. And I REALLY do not understand the high reviews for this one.Let me ask you something first, what is the series about? Going towards? The goal? There really isnt one. No antagonist or big bad, no current conflict or impending event or disaster. NothingThat applies here as well, NOTHING happens. This book is FILLED with several things. The main characters training themselves, training other, food and Empire's Gambit (which is more training). That is really it, things just do not happen for almost the entire book.Couple it with boring characters who are ALL extremely agreeable and so very helpful. A magic system that becomes less and less important and blurs the lines as the characters progress and what are you reading for? What are you looking forward to?
I picked this up because I like to finish series, even if they aren't stellar. The first two books were decent enough, though nothing much particularly happens to drive the plot forward. Book 3 is a travesty. I honestly don't get the reviews, except that it must appeal to a very.... specific.... audience. Here's the plot:1. They eat stuff that is apparently delicious2. They "train" montage (no detail spared here; detail is for #3)3. They build a haremThat's it. And for #3, that's literally about 90% of the plot. It's too bad the author is so fixated on the harem thing, because there's promise in the premise, but he seems uninterested in any other plot or character development beyond the the main character building a harem. I'm going to drop the series right here because I assume that this is how the remainder of the series is going to go.
